The “I AM” Meditation
If you try no other relaxation ritual here at Mental Foreplay - try
this. This "I AM" meditation is one that I practice myself.
I like
to spend some time in silence, reflecting on the thought-feeling "I
AM".
There is a real reverence and gratitude that comes from remembering
what an amazing fact it is that we exist.
All of life supports you being here.
I learned this meditation practice through Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj.
If you are interested in meditation, you may also be interested in Eckhart
Tolle's The Power of Now (available
via book or audio)
You should be able to find The Power of Now at any Unity bookstore, Amazon,
Barnes and Noble, etc.
Helpful bit of advice:
I highly suggest you get the audio version instead of the book.
It is so powerful to listen to as you fall asleep at night. It
allows the words to penetrate deep into your “other than conscious”
mind…where transformation really happens.
What You Do:
- Visualize the words "I AM" written on a chalkboard.
- Read the words silently in your mind. "I AM"
- Say the words out loud and try to imagine what that means. "I
AM"
- Feel it in your solar plexus. "I AM"
- Vibe it in your being. "I AM"
- Say it or think it quietly to yourself. "I AM"
